Tempointeraktif.com - Next Year’s Electricity Subsidy to be Rp58 Trillion: "EMPO Interactive, Jakarta:The Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry has suggested that next year’s electricity subsidy will be Rp58 trillion, an increase compared to this year’s Rp40.7 trillion.
The electricity demand borne by the government is based on the main cost for electricity procurement next year. “The main cost added by the margin in 2012 is expected to be Rp185.41 trillion,” the House of Representatives’ (DPR) Energy Commission director-general in charge of electricity, Jarman, said yesterday.
PLN is expected to earn Rp126.69 trillion in profits next year. The difference from the main cost and the profit that will be subsidized is Rp58 trillion."
