Rp 42.7b case involving PKS elites set to begin | The Jakarta Post: "Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) founder Yusuf Supendi will challenge 10 current PKS top officials at South Jakarta District Court on Tuesday, in the first hearing of a civil case in which Yusuf is asking for Rp 42.7 billion (approximately US$5 million) in compensation.
Yusuf is suing party officials for his dismissal from the party, a move he says was not based on clear reasons and which was not carried out via the correct legal procedures.
Yusuf has said the dismissal has cost him dearly, for which he has demanded compensation amounting to Rp 42.7 billion, for material and immaterial losses he has suffered.
The Tuesday hearing is scheduled to hear the indictment read out by Yusuf's lawyers. (awd)" Seed Newsvine
