Police, BIN instructed to bring Nazaruddin home | The Jakarta Post: "Coordinating Politic, Legal and Security Affairs Minister Djoko Suyanto has instructed the National Police, the National Intelligence Agency (BIN) and the Foreign Ministry to investigate former Democratic Party treasurer M Nazaruddin over allegations of involvement in a graft case.
Djoko said his instruction could help the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) summon Nazaruddin, although the commission had yet to ask for ministry assistance.
“At least if the commission needs to summon him, he is available right away,” he said, as quoted by tempointeraktif.com.
He said if Nazaruddin was in Singapore, the Indonesian government could not force him to return because there was no extradition agreement between the two countries.
Djoko, however, assured that the government could use a diplomatic approach to ensure that Nazaruddin would return to Indonesia.
Djoko said that whatever steps the Indonesian government decides to take, Nazaruddin’s safety remained the first priority."
