Delayed trial of PKS elites set to commence Tuesday | The Jakarta Post: "At least 10 elite members of the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) who are facing a civil lawsuit filed by party founder Yusuf Supendi are expected to appear in court on Tuesday after failing to show up at last week's hearing at the South Jakarta District Court.
At the first hearing held May 24, head judge Subiantoro was forced to adjourn the session because the defendants and their representatives did not turn up.
The 10 PKS officials were brought to trial for the alleged unfair dismissal of Supendi from the party -- a move he said was executed for unclear reasons and through incorrect legal procedures.
Supendi said the dismissal had cost him dearly, and demanded compensation of Rp 42.7 billion in material and immaterial losses. (awd)"
