Famine in Somalia :: Horn of Africa Drought 2011 Humanitarian Relief :: U.S. Fund for UNICEF - UNICEF USA: "U.S. Fund for UNICEF President and CEO, Caryl Stern, recently joined the the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge in a visit to the UNICEF emergency supply center in Copenhagen, where they helped pack a shipment of emergency medical supplies for delivery to the drought and famine stricken Horn of Africa. Stern flew with the supply flight to Kenya and visited UNICEF operations there."

25 Hari Menuju Siklus 5 Tahunan Sungai Ciliwung: "Penghujung tahun hanya tinggal menghitung hari. Awal tahun 2012 akan menyambangi kita, entah benar terjadi kiamat atau tidak, Belum ada yg tau pasti apakah benar terjadi di tahun 2012 nanti.
Kita tidak perlu mengingat jauh mengenai ramalan kiamat yg akan datang pada tahun 2012 dan melupakan siklus 5 tahunan ciliwung yang takkan pernah terelakan. Kita hanya perlu menghitung hari untuk mengetahui apakah ciliwung akan meluapkan amarahnya yg terpendam selama ini stelah mengendap menjadi pendangkalan sungai dan sediment di bantaran sungai.

Mungkin kita lupa ataupun selalu melupakan bahwa kita masyarakat jakarta hidup berdampingan dengan sungai ciliwung. Ada 72 kelurahan yg berdampingan dan dilintasi oleh sungai ciliwung, yang tentu saja sudah hidup bersama-sama sungai selama puluhan tahun dan mengalami masalah yg sama yaitu banjir siklus lima tahunan ciliwung."
