The head of Mimika district’s transportation, communication and information office, John Rettob, said here Wednesday the avtur refilling service for planes of the two state-owned airlines was expected to be made available again at the beginning of the new year.
He said PT Freeport Indonesia had over the past two days been again filling Timika airport’s tanks with avtur from its Amamapare Portsite. The avtur supplies had resumed after PT Freeport workers who had been on strike for more than three months had lifted their blockade of the company’s mining area and removed the road blocks they had set up at strategic points on the route to the Amamapare portsite, months, John said.

Hydrogen fuel cells aren't exactly a new technology; they've been used to power Honda cars, for example, and they bring their own set of problems, especially in the context of smartphones or laptops.
